You’re not alone! Experiencing stress, for various reasons, is extremely common. And with stress comes a host of emotional issues such as fear, anxiety, frustration, sadness, depression, etc. As adults, that’s a part of life.

Feeling frustrated by our personal situations is actually something that we share in common with some of the greatest people to ever live. Joseph, Moses, King David…and Jesus Christ Himself!

I don’t think I need to remind you of the amazing things that those guys accomplished after they overcame their low periods.

Joseph:

“You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.” (Genesis 50:20)

Moses:

“And Moses said to the Lord, ‘Why are you treating me, your servant, so harshly? Have mercy on me! What did I do to deserve the burden of all these people?’” (Numbers 11:11)

King David:

“David now stayed in the strongholds of the wilderness and in the hill country of Ziph. Saul hunted him day after day, but God didn’t let Saul find him.” (1 Samuel 23:14)

“David was now in great danger because all his men were very bitter about losing their sons and daughters, and they began to talk of stoning him. But David found strength in the Lord his God.” (1 Samuel 30:6)

Jesus:

“‘Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.’ Then an angel from heaven appeared and strengthened Him.” (Luke 22:42-43)

You are Not Alone & You are Never Alone!

Whether we’re dealing with financial battles, health concerns, family issues, personal crisis, job stress… it’s been this way since the beginning of time. And it’s only natural that we’d feel like giving up sometimes. We’re human after all.

But as servants of the true and living God, we cannot ever let the enemy rob us of the blessings that God has in store for us!

Thankfully, we never have to feel like we are alone fighting our battles. Because, as children of God, this just isn’t the case. God is always at our side, in our corner, fighting our battles with us. And ultimately, we will be victorious. Always! That’s God’s promise!

A Bible verse about not giving up is exactly what you need. You need that nudge forward from time to time. We all do!

“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” (Galatians 6:9)

God never promised that the life of a Christian would be easy. However, He did promise that He will always see us through. Trials are temporary and God has a perfect plan for our lives. We may just need a reminder ever so often.

These are the most encouraging Bible verses about giving up, to keep us motivated and trusting in God to keep powering through.
