Before we pray, take a moment to assess your needs, in order to bring them to God.
American psychologist, Abraham Maslow, presented the “Hierarchy of Needs” several decades ago… a concept valued in the world of psychology, to this date. It captures all human needs within a 5-tiered pyramid.
From the bottom (most basic) of the hierarchy and moving up, the needs are as follows:
Tier 1: Physiological Needs (food, shelter, clothing, water, basic human necessities for survival)
Tier 2: Safety and Security Needs (good health, financial security, employment)
Tier 3: Social Needs (love, friendship, intimacy, community and sense of belonging)
Tier 4: Esteem Needs (respect, sense of accomplishment, recognition)
Tier 5: Self Actualization Needs (achieving your full potential via creative outlets, realizing your purpose)
We’re all at different phases of our lives and our specific needs may vary. We all have varying priorities based on Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs.
However, as servants of the True and Living God, who takes care of all our needs? GOD!
Regardless of where we fall on the hierarchy above; we seek God, we serve God and God takes care of everything else! God is our number one priority!
“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.” (Matthew 6:33)
Whatever you want or need, God is the answer. And it all starts with a prayer! If all your needs are satisfied and you just want to express your gratitude… whisper a prayer! Even if you don’t exactly know what to pray for, just pray!

Friday Good Morning Blessings – Understand This Before Praying!
As Christians, we don’t mutter empty, generic recitations. Our God is a God of action so we go to God with intent! We do what we need to do, on our end, so that God can take care of the rest.
When approaching God in Prayer, it’s important to respect the guide that Christ gave to us in Matthew Chapter 6. If we don’t, your “prayer” would just be watered down into pointless blabbering.
We must:
1. Approach God with sincerity, with full dedication and humility… via Jesus Christ!
2. Praise Him and thank Him, while respecting His authority.
3. Understand and accept that God is ultimately in charge of our lives. His will takes precedence over all.
4. Ask for forgiveness as we are all guilty of sin, intentional or not.
5. Call for God’s presence in our lives, stating our additional requests.
6. Ask for God’s continued protection.
7. Praise and thank God again, while closing off our prayer, claiming that all our requests are already received in faith.
8. Follow up our prayer by living lives pleasing to God.

Constructing the Perfect Prayer for Friday Morning
Since we approach God with a certain degree of structure, our prayers would consist of 3 parts. Part 1 (Start of Prayer) and Part 3 (Conclusion of Prayer) can remain the same, regardless of our specific requests.
